This policy explains which cookies and similar technologies naslaw.com and our client portal use, and why.
1. Summary
naslaw.com does not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies or any third-party tracking cookies. Our public website stores only three small items in your own browser, all set by us, to make the site work and to understand how enquiries reach us. They are never sold or shared for advertising.
2. What cookies and browser storage are
Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser. Browser storage (local storage and session storage) works in a similar way but stays on your device and is not sent to the website automatically with every page. This policy covers both.
3. What we store on naslaw.com
| Name | Type | Purpose | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
nas_first | Local storage | Remembers the first page you viewed, the website or campaign that brought you here, and when. If you send us an enquiry, this tells us how you found us. | 90 days |
nas_sess | Session storage | Counts the pages viewed and time spent during this visit, included only if you send an enquiry. | Until you close the browser tab |
nasWaMin | Session storage | Remembers that you minimised the WhatsApp chat button, so it stays minimised while you browse. | Until you close the browser tab |
None of these items is sent to us unless you submit one of our forms. See our Privacy Policy for how we use enquiry information.
4. Client portal and staff system
Our client portal and staff system at app.naslaw.com use cookies that are strictly necessary for signing in securely:
| Name | Type | Purpose | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
PHPSESSID | Cookie (essential) | Keeps you signed in and protects forms against forgery. | Until you sign out or close the browser |
ipb_trusted | Cookie (essential, staff only) | Remembers a browser that a staff member chose to trust after entering an emailed sign-in code. | Up to 30 days |
These cookies are required for the portal to work and cannot be switched off there.
5. Third-party services
- Google Fonts. Our pages load fonts from Google, so your browser connects to Google's servers. Google Fonts does not set cookies on our website.
- WhatsApp, YouTube and social networks. We only link to these services. They may set their own cookies once you open them, under their own policies.
- Hosting and security. Our hosting or security providers may set a strictly necessary cookie to protect the website from abuse.
6. How to control or delete them
You can delete browser storage and cookies at any time in your browser settings, usually under Privacy → Site data or Clear browsing data. You can also browse in a private or incognito window, which removes them when you close it.
Blocking or deleting these items does not stop the website from working. If you remove nas_first, an enquiry you send will simply show the source as "unknown".
7. Changes to this policy
If we start using new cookies, for example for website analytics, we will update this page first and, where required, ask for your consent before setting them.
