Privacy Policy

How we collect, use and protect your personal information.

Last updated: 19 September 2026

NAS & Associates respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through naslaw.com and when you contact or instruct us, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Who we are

This website, naslaw.com, is operated by NAS & Associates, a trademark and patent agent based at Business Avenue Building, Office 309, Port Saeed, Deira, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean NAS & Associates. For any privacy question, contact us at nas@naslaw.com or +971 55 559 5382.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us. When you send an enquiry through our contact form or quick consultation form, we collect your name, email address, phone number (optional), the service you are interested in and your message. If you contact us by email, phone or WhatsApp, we receive the details you choose to share.

Information collected when you send a form. With each enquiry we also record:

  • your IP address and the approximate country and city it relates to;
  • your device and browser type (for example "Safari on iPhone") and your time zone;
  • how you reached our website (for example a search engine, a social network, an advertisement or another website), the first page you viewed, the page you sent the form from, and how many pages you viewed during your visit.

The visit details are kept in your own browser (see section 6) and are sent to us only if you submit a form.

Information from clients. When you instruct us, we collect the information needed to act for you, such as company details, trademark and patent information, documents, powers of attorney and billing information. This is handled under our engagement terms and in our client portal.

3. How we use your information

  • To reply to your enquiry and give you a quotation.
  • To provide our services, including filing applications with trademark and patent offices in the UAE and other countries.
  • To send you an automatic confirmation that we received your enquiry.
  • To understand which pages and channels bring enquiries, so we can improve our website and services.
  • To protect our website and forms against spam and misuse.
  • To meet our legal, regulatory and record-keeping obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for automated decisions that affect you.

4. Who we share it with

  • Trademark and patent offices and courts, when filing or acting for you. Information filed with official registers, such as the applicant's name and address, is often published by those offices.
  • Our associate agents and law firms abroad, when you ask us to protect your rights in other countries. We share only what they need to act for you.
  • Service providers who help us run our business, such as our email delivery provider (Mailgun), our hosting provider and the IP location lookup services that tell us the approximate country of an enquiry. They may only use the information to provide their service to us.
  • Authorities, where the law requires it.

5. International transfers

Some of our service providers and associate agents are located outside the UAE, including in the United States and in the countries where you ask us to file. When information is transferred abroad, we take reasonable steps to make sure it is protected, and we share only what is necessary.

6. Cookies and browser storage

We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies. Our website stores a small amount of information in your own browser (local and session storage) to:

  • remember the first page you visited, how you arrived and how many pages you viewed (kept for up to 90 days), so that if you send us an enquiry we know how you found us;
  • remember if you minimised the WhatsApp chat button during your visit.

This information stays on your device unless you submit a form. You can delete it at any time by clearing your browser's site data. Full details are in our Cookie Policy.

Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers. Links to WhatsApp, YouTube and other websites are governed by those services' own privacy policies.

7. How long we keep information

We keep enquiries for as long as needed to respond and to follow up, and for a reasonable period afterwards for our records. Client files are kept for as long as we act for you and afterwards for the period required by law and professional practice, including to track renewal deadlines for your registrations.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), spam protection on our forms and access controls on our systems. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so please avoid sending highly sensitive information through our website forms.

9. Your rights

Depending on the law that applies to you, including the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data, you may have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
  • ask us to delete your information, where we are not required to keep it;
  • object to or ask us to restrict certain uses of your information;
  • withdraw your consent where we rely on it.

To make a request, email nas@naslaw.com. We may need to confirm your identity before we respond.

10. Children

Our website and services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed. Significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
